Pre-Surgical Instructions


Please read carefully our guidelines prior to your surgical appointment. We look forward to serving you and ensure that you have the most comfortable experience as possible.


  • Do wear comfortable clothing and DO eat a light meal prior to the appointment.


  • Please continue taking your regular routine medications such as medications for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, etc. as prescribed by your physician.


  • Please fill your prescriptions before the surgical appointment. Directions on how to take the medications will be on the medication bottle and one of the staff will give you instruction as well.


  • Prepare plenty of soft food. Also plan to use ice packs, lukewarm salt water and refrain of any physical activity that can lead to increase in heart rate or blood pressure.


  • You may be asked to stop taking Aspirin, Coumadin, Plavix and any other type of blood thinner medication prior to surgical appointment.


  • If you were prescribed an antibiotic, please take as directed 1 hour before the surgical appointment.


  • For patients taking sedative, please arrange for someone to drive you to and from your surgical appointment


  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment.
